Subject: I Was Completely Upset!
Dear Aspiring Investor,
I am Ayshe Kadir.
I live and work in England, but I have spent the last
six years developing a portfolio of US properties that have made me a millionaire.
This 97% of people never taking action statistic greatly
upset me. I have been training people for over 22
years - my first company was (and still is) an IT training
company. When people came to my training centres they
went away with practical skills that they immediately put
into action. Their newly acquired skills either got
them a better paying job or got them more money in the jobs
they were already in. As I have always been used to
97% of my
IT students
always taking action, I feel it my duty to make
sure that the same applies to my investment students.
My challenge is that despite the training, the headline
above was mocking me. I spoke to my team and vowed
that we would change this statistic.
Whilst other Real
Estate trainers would be happy to take money off people and
not care whether they got results, I cannot and will
not do that.
One question that may be going
through your mind is, why if I am a millionaire am I doing
this? Great question! To answer it let me take
you back to 1983 when I needed to learn how to use a word
processor (they didn't have desktop PCs then:-(). I
paid £300 (yes, three hundred pounds) to be taught how to
use the IBM DisplayWriter. The training company I went
to for training showed me a room with the word processor in
it, they pointed to a shelf above the word-processor with
four very thick manuals labelled 1 to 4. They said
"start with manual 1 and work your way through". I
asked wasn't someone going to teach me, their reply was, "no
we don't do that". I had one of two choices, either
demand my money back, or knuckle down and start to go
through the manuals. I chose the latter. I found
that I was able to pick up word processors and computers
fairly easily. As I started to temp, I realised that
most people hadn't a clue about how to use machines
effectively. I opened my IT training centre making it
one of the first training companies to provide hands on,
instructor led courses. Our clients were both the
corporate and the home market. By putting people on a
machine and sitting next to them and taking them through
exercises they came away after their time with us knowing
how to use their machines properly with absolutely no fear.
However, there were and still are companies that will charge
you just to use their equipment with no proper training.
To this day, this still makes me seethe.
NECESSITY IS THE
MOTHER OF ALL INVENTION
The same applies to real estate
gurus (or any other type i.e internet etc) who sell you a course. Then on that course they
sell you another course. Then you get constant phone
calls where they are pressurising you to sign up for phone
mentoring. Does this sound familiar to you? How
do I know about this? Well, I was in your shoes too.
Over the past 7 years I have calculated that I have spent
over $100,000 on courses and mentoring. The majority
was completely useless and the trainer/mentor really wasn't
that interested in whether I achieved success. They
were only interested in selling me more stuff and making
more money out of me!
